Rendez-vous 2019 will be international calligraphy conference #20 for me.

It’s been my privilege to be inspired by many through these annual extravaganzas.

Beginning with my first conference experience—literally The California Experience—in 1994, I am remembering impassioned workshop instructors and hungry students. Some are no longer with us, but their impact on my artistic engagement lingers.

I’m marking this milestone with a simple piece listing all 20 conferences.
