Scribbled Lives Week 15—Healing
Spring and Easter herald renewal and renaissance.
Over the past weeks, I’ve had to adjust my attitude. My world is revolving around new realities—wants fade in light of needs; limited access to resources calls for resourcefulness. There’s a renewed gratitude for those around me—family, friends, community.
However, looking in the mirror is not always pretty. The cracks are showing—stress fractures. Time for introspection and healing. I am evolving. I am becoming.
“Le chaos est rempli d’espoir parce qu’il annonce une renaissance. /// Chaos is filled with hope because it heralds a rebirth.” Coline Serreau (French actor, director, writer)
Pointed pen and ink on vintage pasted paper from a collaborative exchange (circa 1990’s). Exaggerated pressure and release letters swirl around “cracks” in the patterned paper. If there was more of the paper, I would have taken a second run at the lettering; nevertheless, I’m satisfied with the concept.
