Scribbled Lives Week 20—Time

Perhaps The Garden of Forking Paths has struck a lingering chord with me, but I’m still linking time with place. The lyrics to “Trip the Light” speak of risking fear to venture afar and then returning home—yearning to be there and yet here—at the same time. These days there’s little choice but to be here—and yet there’s a longing to be there.

Brause 1 mm and crow quill, gouache and Pen White on pasted paper. The white highlighting does not show prominently here, but I attempted to leave a sliver of space between it and the letters themselves for added depth. Not sure I would do that again on such a small scale!
