Fall Colours

Scribbled Lives Week 44—Mixing Fall Colours

This week, our assignment was to take a moment to be inspired by autumn’s rich colours. The two mature linden trees on our property are shedding. In yesterday’s wind it rained leaves, covering the neighbourhood with a golden carpet.

The peony bushes have long gone dormant since gracing the garden path with their abundant pink blooms. My husband and I found each other in the autumn of our lives, so I’ve always loved this haiku.

Practicing folded pen letters and hoping they will loosen up one day! Tim’s pen and Hydrus liquid watercolours on Arches Text Wove.
