Scribbled Lives Week 21—Colour
This week, I learned a lot about colour charts—had no idea there were so many different types! I chose a colour mixing chart and used eight of my favourite watercolours. The out-of-the-tube pure colours appear in the dots along two axes as well as diagonally from top left to bottom right. This divides the chart into full strength mixes (top right) and diluted mixes (bottom left).

I might be addicted to colour charts now! After seeing the number of mixes that were possible with eight watercolours, I was intrigued to see how many hues could be mixed from two: indigo and new gamboge. Just for fun, Shel Silverstein’s poem, “Falling Up”, got roped in.
