Scribbled Lives Week 32—Thank you Carol

Carol DuBosch is the administrator of Scribbled Lives. She has gathered 80 artists from North America and the UK who share a common interest in calligraphy and who are committed to sharing the results of their disciplined practice in the studio. This week, we pay tribute to Carol’s leadership.

Although I’ve known of Carol’s work for many years, I only met her in person in 2019 when we were travelling to the international calligraphy conference in Sherbrooke, Quebec and shared an airport shuttle.

Several of Carol’s influences are featured in this tribute: Bensgothic, folded pen, Bister inks, and circular designs.

As she has often said about the pandemic, “We are all in this together”! This is true of the Scribbled Lives community as well! Over 80 prompts later, Scribbled Lives is very much a part of my life.
