Compassion

Scribbled Lives Week 42—Compassion

As I was thinking about compassion, a number of texts crossed my path. After settling on one that seemed right, I didn’t feel motivated to engage with it. I wonder if that ever happens to you?

Then I stumbled on an email exchange that took place last year during a dark time. Somehow, lettering a deeply personal text spoke more to me of compassion.

To be touched by an unseen presence is mysterious.

Still making wrong letters, this time giving the letters some bounce. Watercolour using Automatic 4 pen, pointed pen, and pointed brush on Saunders Waterford 140# HP. The first line has an identity issue, but once I got going, the letters became less wrong—or more wrong—in a good way!
