The Calligraphy Society of Ottawa (CSO) is turning 40! Coincidentally, I’m also 40—well, in calligraphy years. So, the CSO and I got together to celebrate. We spent the weekend freewheeling and designing without fear…cause that’s how baby boomers tackle middle age!

Students chose or composed their own texts and experimented with techniques to flesh out their meaning, ultimately binding a small accordion book. Here, they generously share some of their book pages.
