Scribbled Lives Week 23—Universal Shapes
Spirals remind me of whirling activity and bidirectional movement—inward and outward. Sometimes it’s not clear which—maybe it depends on the moment!

I’ve been thinking about making time to be still and quiet and also to make time to strengthen inner resources to brave external change. Two phrases come to mind: “be still and know that I am God” and “strengthened for steadfastness”.

Once a spiral stops spinning, it hangs in the stillness—before the next gust.

Brause 1 mm and Fine-Tec gold on marbled paper, brad closures. Italic lettering appears on the ‘spine’ of the structure.
